Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions in our office:

{PJ} Chiropractor FAQWhy do I have to come in for two dozen visits?

Frequency and amount of treatment is completely dependent on several factors:

  • Age
  • How chronic the symptoms are
  • Level of pain and/or dysfunction
  • Overall level of health

Chiropractic care is a cumulative, corrective process that takes time, as does all natural healing. The body is only able to allow so much change on each visit, followed by adaptation to that change. Once the correction is made in progressive steps, full optimization of health can be achieved.

Is chiropractic safe?

Absolutely! Chiropractic is the safest treatment protocol in the world today, and is evidenced by the growing number of people that use it on a regular basis.

Does treatment hurt?

No. Chiropractic features a wealth of techniques that are not only gentle and low-force, but completely safe and effective.

Are chiropractors real doctors?

Yes. Chiropractors go through almost identical college curriculums as do medical specialists, with the exception of pharmaceutical study and surgical techniques. Chiropractors must be licensed in all 50 states, and must pass stringent national and state board examination to receive licensure.

Do you work with MDs?

Yes. Our primary focus is on the well-being of the patient, so when necessary, we gladly refer to appropriate medical specialists. It’s important to note as well that we also enjoy many referrals from a variety of medical professionals in the Miami area. It is never necessary, however, to have a referral to receive chiropractic care!

Do you work with insurance companies?

Yes. Please let us know which company you’re affiliated with and we’ll let you know what kind of coverage you can expect at our office.

How much does treatment cost?

Because that’s such a broad question, it’s almost impossible to answer in this kind of format. Treatment costs are very individual, and depend on many of the factors listed above. Rest assured, however, that once we evaluate you, we will fully inform you of any costs involved, including optional discount family plans.

I’ve heard that you commonly treat neurogenic gut. What is that?

This is specific, effective treatment for people dealing with gastrointestinal disorders, such as spastic colon, irritable bowel syndrome and colitis.

We’d love to welcome you to our chiropractic family! Contact us today and let’s get started!
